Dantrium 100 Mg Capsules

If you have muscle spasticity caused by certain neurological problems, or if you have a rare condition called malignant hyperthermia, your healthcare provider may prescribe 100 mg of Dantrium® (dantrolene sodium). There is also an injectable form of this drug that is given as a slow injection into a vein (intravenously, or by IV), but this version is only approved for treating malignant hyperthermia.

Dantrium capsules come in three strengths (25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg) and are usually taken three or four times a day. The amount your healthcare provider recommends, however, is highly individualized and will depend on the reason you are using this medication, how you respond to it, and other factors.
