Dantrium Intravenous 20 Mg

If you have certain neurological conditions or have an upcoming surgery, your healthcare provider may prescribe Dantrium® (dantrolene sodium). The intravenous form of Dantrium is available in one strength (20 mg) and is injected slowly into a vein. This product is approved for treating a rare condition known as malignant hyperthermia, which is a severe reaction to general anesthesia that causes high fever and muscle rigidity.
 
Dantrium is also available as capsules, which come in several strengths. The capsules are approved for treating malignant hyperthermia, as well as muscle spasticity associated with certain neurological conditions like multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy.
