Tizanidine HCL Drug Information

Tizanidine hydrochloride (Zanaflex®) is a drug used for the short-term treatment of spasticity in adults. It comes in the form of tablets and capsules, and is typically taken as needed, but no more than three times a day. The effects of each dosage generally last between three and six hours. Although most people tolerate the medication well, side effects are possible, such as weakness, fatigue, and dry mouth. To help ensure your safety with tizanidine HCl, be sure your healthcare provider has up-to-date information on any drugs you are currently taking (including vitamins and nonprescription medicines) and any other medical conditions you may have.
